Fitness at Home
100 points
Students will learn the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle outside of physical education class. This is a great opportunity for students to have a real-world experience of moving on their own and creating lifelong skills in a realtime setting, example, practicing a workout routine then charting the progress in a log. We will be reviewing definitions such as: cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, flexibility, etc. Students will watch the videos below, pausing the video when prompted, then will perform a task, answer a question, or play a game. One of the attachments below is a google doc containing a fitness log. Students will track their physical activity for one week. You can use the SHAPE Calendar (also attached) for fitness ideas, you can use fitness videos from YouTube, or you can create your own fitness activity ideas. Chart these activities daily into your Physical Education Activity Log, which when finished, can be turned in through this Google Classroom. This assignment is due Friday, May 1. Have fun with this, be creative, choose safe activities, involve your siblings and parents. I'm looking forward to seeing some fantastic Activity Logs next Friday!
